The Rotary Club of Hiyas ng Maynila (RCHM) has launched its second flagship project last July 20, 2019, at Ayala Greenfield Village, Calamba, Laguna.

The new project is focused on Snake Identification and Snake Bite Management through awareness and information dissemination campaign.

Dr. Fedelino Malbas, Jr., RCHM’s President-Elect, who also happened to be a director of the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) and two other health volunteers from RITM facilitated the seminar.

The project location was chosen because of the reported incidents of snake bites in nearby areas. Mr. Marcelo Lantican, President of the Homeowners Association of Ayala Greenfield Village in Calamba, Laguna, initiated the request to conduct a free seminar/lecture for the benefit of the homeowners and residents of nearby barangays. First Aid responders in the area also participated in the seminar.

RCHM, with its first (1st) flagship project on “Anti- Rabies Management and free Anti- Rabies Vaccine” has thought of launching its second (2nd) flagship project in support of Rotary’s focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment.

Series of seminars/ lectures on two flagship projects of the club will be conducted in the coming months in partnership with other Rotary clubs.
