The Sun always Shines!!! Blessed with the heavy downpour of rain before the start of the workshop with flooded streets and walkways leading to the venue, the resilience of District 3810 Rotarians to learn and participate beats the shivers of soaked feet and wet shoes. Called to order by District 3810 Governor Liza Elorde, the temperature was rising at the Rotary International-mandated Vibrant 3 in 1 Workshop that tackled Membership Development, The Rotary Foundation, and Public Relations at the Grand Sunset Pavillion of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila last August 24, 2019.

Top caliber speakers began firing up the day starting with PDG Ursula “Chit” Lijauco of RC Santa Rosa Centro, D3820 for “Plenary 1: Utilizing Public Image, A Powerful Strategy for Attracting and Retaining Members” followed by PDG Reynaldo “Rey” Castillo of RC Downtown Batangas City, D3820 for “Plenary 2: Updates in Public Image and Brand Guidelines”. In between talks, energizing activities were conducted with special prizes given to the most active participants. “Plenary 3: Rotary Grants and Areas of Focus” was presented by PDG Virgilio “Jun” Farcon of RC Marikina, D3800 which opened up the vast opportunity for global grants. “The Rotary Foundation Funding and Fund Raising” was discussed by PDG Jesus “Jess” Nicdao of RC Western Pampanga, D3790.

Participants were treated to a sumptuous buffet and free-flowing coffee to elevate the senses, making the atmosphere conducive to learning. The energetic PP Ramon Dacayo of RC Valenzuela West D3820 tackled “Building a Diverse Club through Flexibility and Innovation” and was able to engage the curiosity and attention of the participants through a non-conventional approach in attracting member participation, incorporating substance with a purpose that will bring out the generosity in every member.

The 273 recorded participants, brought together in just 11 days through the determination and hard work of the Joint Efforts of Pasay Rotary Clubs ( JEPROCS) as Host Clubs, all went home with smiles on their faces documented by group pictures and selfies alike, a testament to a very fruitful workshop delivered by our dedicated training team headed by PDG Karen Tamayo. When we work as a TEAM, we can Achieve Success! And indeed, successful was the workshop which was adjourned before 4 PM.
