Rotary Club of Manila Binondo Prime
We all have our Rotary stories, which lead us to District 3810 with a very passionate District Governor Liza Elorde who had so much faith in us that we are branded as Champ Presidents! My observation in life is that nothing happens by accident and that the Universe essentially brings us to where we are supposed to be. We all come from different walks of life and Rotary opens the opportunity of giving back. In the first few seminars, the goal is to meet and get acquainted with members of District 3810. Being just a little close to two (2) years with RC Manila Binondo Prime, the learning curve made me realize that the bigger responsibilities involve other clubs and making the goal set to health, education, awareness, prevention, environment, a reachable star. Activities led me to blend in with my co- Champion Presidents Jen de Guia-Moreno of RC Hiyas ng Maynila, Essie Villavito of RC Manila Premier, Olive Tindoy of RC Manila JP Laurel Malacanang, Happy Fernandez of RC Pasay Cybercity and Connie Clavio of RC Manila San Miguel. The all-female champion classmates used to have dinner fellowships when our time permits just to catch up and say our chill “Hi! and Hello!” Until last August 27, 2019, when Chp Val Baac of RC Manila Fort Santiago joined us for a dinner and invited us to join in his two- hour radio segment in DWDD entitled, “Rotary Hour.” All these Champion Presidents pledged that we connect for the love of working towards a greater good. Equipped with smartphones, it is easier to get in touch and be made aware of deadlines and reports as required. We then realized that for our clubs to achieve our goals, we shall undertake whatever it takes! Just like the rest, Champion Presidents like us make it a point to do fellowships that bonded us together and helped us realize that Rotary is Life! Passion and commitment. I hope that these activities draw you to other Champion Presidents and do joint projects and just be happy doing it!
