On June 15, 2 1/2 months from now, we are celebrating the Rotary National Tree Planting Day. Please encourage each and every club in our Champion district to plant on that day. T.R.E.E.S. (Acronym for The Rotary Ecological and Environmental Stratagem) is an open ended national program with all ten rotary districts Consisting of almost 1000 clubs participating in the national effort To fight back and re-conquer our environment, bring back clean air, Battle erosion and landslides, increase national food production, contain water in our ground system, stop the erosion of our rich soil, help in our water problems, Create shade and a cooler climate, produce wood and medicine, Improve our landscape and help in tourism, and bring us back to good health and a stable environment. On June 15 you my plant your tree as an individual family or as a club effort. Which ever way kindly record it with pictures and report the number trees planted. The newspapers are going to keep a tally of our plating program. The Philippines needs your help. Let us join hands and respond to this call.
