The Rotary Club of Manila Sta. Cruz Central copped one of the most coveted feats in the history of Rotary International District 3810. While being a relatively young club in the district, having been chartered some three years ago, it has been making waves in the Rotary scene in recent history. While Rotary International has been making a massive campaign for new members, the club under the abled leadership of Champion President Art Pascual inducted twenty-four (24), new members, into the fold during its very First (1st) Induction Ceremonies held last August 7, 2019, at the Cities Events Place in Quezon City which Champion President Art dutifully and immediately entered into the Rotary Portal. It might be likewise of interest to know that Champion President Art was the awardee for the most number of new members for July 2019 during the August Area Meeting recently held at OKADA Manila. A flawless speaker and visionary, Art Pascual, is a Civil Engineer by profession and works as a District Engineer of the Department of Public Works and Highways while also heading a foundation. He is likewise a part-time professor and a family man. While being a young Rotarian, his accomplishments speak for itself. Of the 24 new members inducted into the Rotary Club of Manila Sta. Cruz Central, fourteen (14) of them are new Paul Harris Fellows and at the time of the club’s induction, the club had a total of seventeen (17) Paul Harris Fellows, which are all accounted for as the club paid a total of US $17,000.00. Indeed, District Governor Liza Elorde could not have been more proud of the accomplishments of this club as they continue on their odyssey of being a quintessential Rotary club worthy of emulation by the many who look up to its members in awe for being the club that exudes the vibrance Rotary sorely needs in these challenging times.
